    SixPrizes The one and only!

Note: All new threads in this forum must be approved by a moderator before going live, so make sure you read all these instructions to have the best chance of your thread being given the thumbs-up!

    What is This Forum For?

Competitive deck discussion! And by that, we mean 60 card decks that have been tested and have had success on some level of competition (even if it's league competition) in the current modified legal format. The decks must have a coherent, logical strategy. (Combining your two favorite Pokemon is not a legitimate strategy.) The deck must have some merit; even if it's just a fun and enjoyable league deck.

This is not the place for posting random ideas you have in your head, but haven't actually tried out. This is also not the place to discuss Japanese decks. You can discuss theorymon and future decks in the Deck Help & Development forum. That is also the place to start new threads asking for deck help; not here.

Copacetic? Great! Now read over these instructions before you start creating new threads...

    1. Search Before You Start a New Thread!

We should already have dedicated threads created for each deck. If you start a duplicate, it will be locked and you'll be referred to the existing thread by a moderator. If you repeatedly start duplicate threads, you will receive a warning.

    2. Thread Titles

The structure for thread titles must be as follows:

Deck Name (optional) - Key Cards (separated by commas, and Pokemon must have set abbreviations)

    So for example...
    • Mewtrik - Manectric ex, Mew ex
    • Queendom - Nidoqueen RG, Pidgeot RG
    • CMT - Celebi Prime, Mewtwo EX, Tornadus EPO/EX
The reason for doing this is so that everyone will know exactly what deck is being discussed before they click on their thread. It helps keep everyone on the same page and discussion better focused.

    3. Thread Prefixes

You have the option to choose between Rogue and League. Here is the difference between the two options:
    • Rogue: This is a deck that you would use at a premier event because you think it could give you a shot at winning the whole thing.
    • League: This deck is only for fun. You would never actually use it at a tournament where rating points and prizes are on the line.
Tier 1, 2, and 3 prefixes are reversed for moderators. If your rogue eventually proves itself, we can talk about it in the Tier Discussionthread, and change the prefix. We should already have threads made for all tier decks, hence why you are not given that prefix selection.

    4. Thread Content

You must provide a complete 60 card deck list and include at least a few sentences explaining the deck's basic strategy. Incomplete deck ideas should go in Deck Help & Development.

Deck lists should be formated like so:

    Pokemon – 21

    4 Nidoran F RG
    3 Nidorina RG
    4 Nidoqueen RG
    3 Pidgey RG
    2 Pidgeotto RG
    3 Pidgeot RG
    1 Feebas HL
    1 Milotic HL

    Trainers – 24

    4 Celio’s Network
    4 Copycat
    2 Steven’s Advice
    2 Rocket’s Admin.
    1 Mr. Briney’s Compassion

    4 Rare Candy
    3 Great Ball

    4 Desert Ruins

    Energy – 15

    6 Grass
    4 Double Rainbow
    3 Heal
    2 Fighting

Pokemon must have their set abbreviation listed afterward (and set number if there are two of the same Pokemon in that set). You can see a full list of set abbreviations here.

    Other things to note:
    • For evolution lines, list the Basics first, then Stage 1s, and finally Stage 2s
    • List cards in descending counts
    • It makes the deck list easier to analyze when you group the Trainers by type (Supporters, Items, and Stadiums)
    Saber99531627 and merrygreen like this.
