Commenting Etiquette

Be cool. That's all we ask. The writers and editors put a lot of time into bringing you these articles, so show some respect. It's ok to be critical, but please be civil about it. Thanks for your opinions and, even though this was a great article, I’d say one or two of these get reprinted.

    This is, quite probably, the best article I have read on SixPrizes: informative, refreshing, not too long, and offered a fine balance between personal insight and objectivity.

    I agree with most of your thoughts on reprints, including the fact that Claydol made the format too fast. The answer to this may even be to bring back Cosmic Power, but only up to 4-5 cards can be drawn instead of 6. Additionally, I too would like to see more Stadiums in use; simply because we don’t see enough of them.

    Once again, fantastic article.

    Roseanne’s would be the worst decision Pokemon could ever make. It justifies putting 1-0-1 Machamp in almost any deck. Claydol would also be a huge step in the wrong direction.. Scramble, however would be great and certainly give stage 2 the little boost it needs currently to compete against SP.

      It used to be that 1-0-1 Machamp could give your deck a huge edge against SP, but nowadays, most SP decks can take down a Machamp without much frustration. The main reason I think Roseanne’s should be reprinted is to allow more flexibility for non-SP decks. SP can pretty much add in whatever techs they want (a LC made it into Worlds Top 16 last year with a 1-1-1 Gardevior SV line) because of Cyrus’s Conspiracy, to get the Energy whereas other decks would be forced to really change their Energy counts (usually means adding in 3-4 Rainbow Energy).

    Really enjoyed reading this article, as a player who missed all sets between Neo-Genesis and effectively HGSS its really good to read about cards which were popular when I was just reminiscing about the “good old days”.

    The only thing about Claydol and RR being reprinted is that they went out of rotation so recently that I’m not sure they’d put a card so similar in so soon. The scramble energy is a very interesting card, and you never know, they may put it back out there in addition with cards like Twins and Black Belt.

    Keep up the good stuff!

    I really enjoyed this article… I’d have to say this is probably your best article yet. Very informative but not boring at the same time.

    Good idea for an article.

    But I think we need a break from Claydol, he was just around for 3 years, lets take a break. I would like to see him come back, but lets wait a year or two. Same with roseanne’s.

    I don’t like scramble, its too good, it would be nice if it were reprinted last year, to combat SP, but now that SP is on its way out, it would do more harm then good.

    I do like Giant Stump. Palkia G is on its way out, so bench control beyond the new ditto is not around.

    Another card I’d love to see is a Lass reprint. (As a supporter) It would serve as a vilegar counter, while also serving a nice role in disruption decks, etc.

    I’d love to see a reprint of Super Gas Attack from Team Rocket.

    It’s useful to stop Poke-Powers from working until the end of your opponent’s next turn.

      I meant Goop Gas Attack, not Super Gas Attack. >_>;
