I have simple yet effective late game Pokemon card combo for you today utilizing these two cards:
The objective is fairly simple. Use Dialga’s “Reverse Time” Pokemon Power to put 3 water energies from your discard pile on top of your deck. Then utilize Blastoise’s “Dig Well” Pokemon Power in order to attach those 3 water energies to the Pokemon of your liking.
What deck should you implement this tactic into? My suggestion would be to try it out in a Kingdra deck. Kingdra’s “Dragon Pump” attack does 60 damage to your opponent’s active Pokemon and 20 damage to a benched Pokemon of your choosing, if you discard a 2 cards from your hand. If you are careful with the placement of the extra 20 damage, you can set 2 Pokemon up to KO’d using Blastoise’s “Double Launcher” attack for your last 2 prizes of the game.
I would suggest targeting low HP (70 to 90 HP) supporting Pokemon that are used for their Pokemon Powers or Bodies. I would be less inclined to focus the 20 damage on their attacking Pokemon because those Pokemon will most likely be promoted to the active position and you will be hitting them for 60 damage anyway. Normally you will want to lock on to the opponent’s Claydol first to try and knock it out, but after that spread the 20 damage around. Your opponent may try to play around your strategy by attacking with Uxie using “Psychic Restore”, allowing them to shuffle Uxie back into their deck causing the damage you inflicted to be nullified. They may also play a trainer card such as Poke Turn, which returns an SP Pokemon back to their hand, again removing your damage. Good Pokemon to target are Claydol GE and Azelf LA.
You should also be cautious of the trainer Power Spray. If your opponent is able to play one to stop Dialga’s Reverse Time Pokemon Power, then your combo is spoiled. I advise you to keep track of how many Power Spray your opponent has played so this will not happen to you. If your opponent knows that you play Blastoise and Dialga, then you may not be able to pull off the combination, unfortunately. It has a great surprise factor to it, but if your opponent sees it coming, then it is not nearly as effective. The best thing to do it to wait until you have 2 prizes left, then play Squirtle on your bench, Rare Candy into Blastoise, play Dialga, and then attack all in the same turn. Your opponent will not know what hit them!
