Commenting Etiquette

Be cool. That's all we ask. The writers and editors put a lot of time into bringing you these articles, so show some respect. It's ok to be critical, but please be civil about it. Don't embarrass yourself in front of everyone by making juvenile remarks because you may regret it later. If you have issue with someone, "Get a room." Nobody wants to see your childish back-and-forth banter. Think twice before commenting, use proper grammar, HAVE FUN, and thanks for adding to the conversation!

very well written article with some good thoughts on each deck, though on a side note, you don’t consider regigigas a Tier one deck?

    • Anonymous

he wrote about the top winning decks at states. Regigigas wasn’t up there

    Nice.

I think Sablelock actually has even v. LuxChomp and v. DChomp, as it really depends on the luck factor and the skill of both players.

Good luck at Regs – I can’t make it. Bleh.

    Great read!

Very detailed analysis of decks people will run and need pointers for.

    Thanks for this helpful article.

Great stuff Kenny, this is your best article yet. Kick some butt this weekend!

Why is 2-1 luxray the play? If you have 2 why wouldn’t you run a 2-2 just for the sake of consistency?

    • Anonymous

The consistency 2-2 brings just isn’t as important as the spaces the spot opens up for tech cards or trainer consistency i.e. 4 E-gain, Communication.

I really like how detailed the descriptions and analysis are here, as a beginner. BUT could you please, please, please include links to specific card lists you are basing your analyses on (or include the card lists in the body)? The reason is that (a) it makes it easier for newer players to figure out *precisely* what you are talking about, and (b) searching for “Vileplume”, say, will yield a lot of hits that have their own variations and may not synch up with your discussion.

I think that popular deck archetypes are a very important topic for inexperienced players, and to extract the maximum learning potential from an article such as this there should be a well-worn path to canonical deck lists for them.
