Nice coverage overall, i enjoy reading (i do count 7 tails =P )
    great job man, props

  • Ryan Graham

Isn't his name “ninetales”? If so, he wouldn't have nine tails..he would, tell nine tales if you ever met him. Duh… :)

  • jordanbakersays

never realized that before… that's kind of ridiculous.

  • Tonu

Bronzong MT has been mentioned but nothing on Dodrio SV or Noctowl GS? :s

Anyway, great article about cards that draws you more cards. :>

  • Mach

They got honorable mentions at the bottom. I figured the Lightning weakness on both of them along with the fact that they only net one card wasn't enough to get a real section.

  • Tonu

LOL, somehow I managed to skip at that part. I feel stupid now… :s

Only Dusknoir SF, Slowking GE and Minun SW comes to my mind anymore when thinking about drawing powers. Everyone should know that Dusknoir draws cards with its power, but being stage 2 it prob won't be great tech drawer. About Minun and Slowking; If your Pokémon got KO'd during last turn, you can either search for any 1 card or draw for 2 cards. Those aren't not so great, but maybe worth of mentioning. They could be pretty good in some decks.

Awesome Article really helps a newcomer like myself :)
Looking forward to seeing the trainer engine coming soon!

No Unown R? Sure, it needs some Pokemon Rescue cards in order to be effective but decks like Gyarados and Shuppet love it as a support engine to their Uxie.

Incredible article Mach, you have a real knack for writing. Only thing I can think of that you didn't really hash on was Uxie LV.X, as some decks rely on it, but you really nailed everything.

Bronzong MT is definitely a card I hadn't thought about in a while, and you're right that it could be a a possibility in certain decks.

Loved your line on Staraptor…”Two things I want you to take note of here. First, there are so many abbreviations in this name that if you understood it, you deserve credit for being bilingual. Second, this is a basic Pokemon.” LOL

    Thanks again man!

  • Ryan

Gardevoir is suchhhhhh a pain! Psychic Lock + Telepass = you're done for if you rely on poke-powers too much.

  • michaelmasacre

I really like that you have mentioned Staraptor FB Lv X, i always thought it would make an interesting tech in an SP build

  • michaelmasacre

I agree, they have potential for their exclusive decks!

Unown R is interesting, in the right deck it case be awesome. Usually needs to be a very focused deck though, I know Kingdra used to play it and it was good.

    good article,

but kind of un-needed. You highighted claydol and uxie and then went on to talk about other pokepower drawers.

Which is okay but if you have claydol and uxie why do you need other drawerers. Most decks should just use 2-2 claydol and then end there.

But if you are playing a weird deck like scizor/cherrim, rayquaza C or other weird decks pokepowers arent that helpful.

You should have talked about furett, masquerain, and ledian. They let you draw cards from attacks. I know right now those arent that good, but they have more versatility then bronzong.

Unown R is also a must, its a great card, very underused.

I know I beat ya up in this comment, but it was a good article Im just provided my view.

  • Racer_A

I tend to aim my articles at newer players, since the ones that have been playing for a while normally can't learn much from the style I use for writing. Claydol and Uxie were first, since I knew those were the things people would look for immediately.

Nah, I made it clear about things like Furret. I consider those to be starters, not engines. I linked to a really great starter article in the very beginning.

I probably could've mentioned Unown R, come to think, though.
