Hey guys this is Pikkdogs with my first article on this site. I thought of this deck after a tournament this year. I ran a Porygon Z deck and I kept on losing during the first couple of turns. So in order to combat this I decided to run a deck with high-HP basic Pokemon. I also didn’t have much money, so that ruled out any Luxray GL deck. So this is what I came up with.
Decklist
Alakazam 4’s SP Toolbox
Pokemon-20
2 Alakazam 4 RR
1 Alakazam 4 …

To begin this article, I would like to introduce myself because this is my first official article for SixPrizes.com. My name is Michal “Charlie“ Bartosik and I am from Czech Republic. I have played the Pokemon TCG for 8 years and have won many tournaments in our country, but I never our Nationals.
Now I would like to start talking about card that I chose – Expert Belt from Advance of Arceus.
In my opinion is Expert Belt the best card from AoA. Expert Belt adds +20 …

Another set has rolled around, and this one has only one word in it’s name: Arceus. There were a fair few amount of cards in this set to be hyped, but one of the cards to receive the most generous amount of love was Salamence LV.X. And it’s easy to see why, isn’t it? Taking double prizes is always an incredible feat, especially when you’re already sporting a high damage output from the start to begin with.
But is it really worth all the attention it’s …

You may have encountered one before, from Mysterious Treasures – Mr. Mime, whose PokeBody “Airy Wall” can defend itself against damage from Pokemon with one or two energy attached to it. Even better, this Pokemon would require a Mime Jr. underneath to get Unown G-like effect, thus it is amazing in matchups like Gyarados, Beedrill and Kingdra.
In this one, Shedinja is another amazing wall that have similiar defensive type as Mr. Mime, however – it’s “Marvel Shell” PokeBody would block any of your Opponent’s Pokemon …

First off I will point out that the name comes from Stephen Silvestro seeing as I adapted this deck off of the one that he is currently playing at battle roads.
Second I would like to point out that there are a few differences to the deck that are abnormal from earlier Machamp decks. The first would be that it is not built with the donk as the primary objective. The second is that it isn’t played with anything other than normal techs, which has become …

So, yeah. Just to say a little about myself, I have been playing this game off and on for the last ten years, officially making a return last September after a 4 year hiatus. Even still, I have been playing inconsistently since returning because of school, and now because of a work (I am a school teacher). So, the format is still pretty new to me, but I am enjoying the learning process.
This was my first tournament in the past 5 years, called a “Battle Roads.” …

Raichu LV.X has been horribly underestimated in my opinion when it was first released in the Stormfront set. When it came out most people were making Gengar and Machamp decks. But this card should be recognized for having one of the most outstanding Poke-Powers of all time!
Raichu LV.X’s Power is called “Link Lightning” which allows you to use two attacks in one turn after Leveling Up Raichu and using Raichu LV.X’s attack “Voltage Shoot.” The attack “Voltage Shoot” will cause 80 damage to one of your …

Please picture the following: Flygon Lv.X, Machamp, Nidoqueen, Mesprit. Thanks!
Well to start things off this is my first premiere event since Spring Battle Roads, so needless to say I was quite excited. I had been play testing quite a few decks, but really felt like Fly/Champ was the best play. So I went with my gut and that is what I ended up playing.
So my friends, brother, and I get up and start heading to Rolla, Mo for the first tournament for all of us …

There really wasn’t much question as to what deck I would play for Battle Roads this time, since it will likely be the only one I’ll make it to. My favorite Pokemon is Porygon Z, so naturally I chose the always entertaining Promogon Z!
My girlfriend and I have recently gotten two of our friends from UMass into Pokemon, so after dragging ourselves out of bed after a nice Saturday night at college ( :] ) we went over to Bruegger’s Bagels for breakfast in Amherst …
