 Hello!
My name is Evan. I started playing Pokemon in February, and my brothers threw together a Machamp deck to get me into the game. The deck was fairly simple to operate, and “Take Out” was easy enough to figure out. But it was very obviously flawed against Stage 2 decks, or any deck running Unown G. Over the next few months, I toyed with some different card combos. I took a version of FlyChamp with a Metagross tech to [...]

Ever since the HS Unleashed release there has been many new decks such as Feraligator/Blastoise, Magnezone/Steelix Prime, Feraligator/Lanturn Prime, Kingdra Prime Donk and such. However, I believe that Tyranitar Prime is the best out of all of the new decks coming out and will soon be in one of the top meta decks.
Since it is fairly new, there is no skeleton for this deck, however, I will give out my own Tyranitar Prime Deck List and talk about some strategies and why [...]

I went to a Battle Roads in the Palm Harbor area today. I had two deck choices when I arrived: DonkFly, which consists of a 2-2 line of Donphan, and a 3-2-3-1 line of Flygon, or a CurseGar deck. I decided to play with my DonkFly deck. This is the list:
Pokemon:25
x1 Uxie LA x1 Mesprit LA x1 Azelf LA x1 Claydol GE x1 Baltoy SV x1 Luxray GL Lv.x RR x1 Luxray GL RR x2 Donphan Prime HS x2 Phanpy HS x2 [...]

I know it’s a little early to be talking about decks after the cycle because we still are not positive what sets are going to be cycled. We have people talking about DP Base through Stormfront being cycled, other saying DP Base through Platinum Base and a few saying DP Base through Rising Rivals. However I am not here to talk about the cycle, I’m here to talk what decks will be prominent if DP Base through Stormfront is cycled.

6 a.m. It was a beautiful California morning in Long Beach. The weather was a perfect high 60′s. I had been woken up by my friend who I was sharing a room with. We were staying aboard the Queen Mary ship and apparently my Iphone alarm sounds a lot like fire drill. He woke up thinking the ship was going down…anyway, I went outside and took a deep breath looking out to the ocean to get myself prepared. “I’ve been waiting three months for [...]

Hello all, this is my first article and I welcome any and all criticism (constructive please). Now onto the article.
The deck that I will explaining to you is yes, another Flygon variant. The deck am I talking about, well, I like to call this variant Dumbo. This deck is a lot like the infamous FlyChamp except it utilizes the somewhat quicker Donphan Prime instead of Machamp. The reason that Donphan is so much quicker than Machamp is the fact that is a Stage [...]

So, I’ve been playing Pokemon TCG since the summer of 2009. I’ve only won 2 Battle Roads in my career. The City Championship I attended was the first CC I had ever played, so I was nervous. It was at a library in Carpinteria, CA. There were many people I’ve seen before at Battle Roads and at other leagues I went to. I was playing in the Seniors division and ran a Flygon / Gengar deck. I ran Gengar from [...]

I figured it was only fitting that I wrote a report on the very last CC’s of the season. This one was in Huntley, IL; a small town 45 minutes west of Chicago. The turn out was phenomenal. Over 100 heads, with 64 Masters. This is what the game is all about. The tournament was run by Jimmy Ballard, (2nd place at Worlds 2008, and owner of Collect-a-Card n’ Comics in Chicago and Top Cut Comics in Rockford). The head judge was Jeremy Adams, [...]
