Hi everyone, my name is Tim, known as Silverwarrior on most sites. This will be my first article with 6P. I started playing Pokemon TCG back in September of 2009 as a hobby and soon became addicted. I’ve since signed up for several sites to participate in deck building and general tips and tricks but I always find myself checking 6p.com for new article updates.
To cut straight to the chase, since my start with Pokemon TCG I’ve seen a lot of decks with the concept …

 Giant Growth (Tang-Gar):
Hello and thank you SixPrizes for being there to help/entertain/teach me everything needed to play the Pokémon TCG with confidence and a little know how. Being a relatively new player I have to admit I knew virtually nothing about the complex strategies being used in decks until I stumbled upon this site. You have all helped me immensely and I owe allot of my success in playing to the helpful suggestions and tips you all gave me, not to mention all of the …

Hi guys it’s Pikkdogs. I have been wanting to write this article for a while, but school and work have prevented it until now. I wanted to write this article because not many people talk about the Scizor/Cherrim deck, but it is a great deck for beginners.
Why is it a great deck for beginners? This deck is ideal for beginners because it is cheap, easy to use, has a deck list that can be easily adjusted to accommodate a player’s available cards, and is as …

Being my very first CC, as you could imagine I was a bit apprehensive about going, but also wanting to see what exactly the experience would merit I found myself wanting to go more so then not. So that very morning I loaded the car as myself and another group set out on the three hour drive to Hot Springs Arkansas. I will spare you the details of the drive but let’s just say it was less then spectacular.
We arrive more early then we hoped so …

One of the few decks I have been playing with includes one that centers around my all time favorite, Shiftry! When Shiftry first came out, I think everybody tried to look for ways to abuse it’s power and well, make a good deck out of it.
Sadly, the fact that the power only works DURING your opponent’s turn is a big downfall. No auto burn? :S His power “Unlucky Wind” states, As long as Shiftry is your active Pokemon, whenever your opponent flips a coin during …

Howdy guys, it’s Soul again. This time I’m writing about one of my current fun decks; it doesn’t have a big chance to survive in the current format because of the big impact of Luxray GL Lv.X.
You may have heard of a Yanmega deck in the late past, played with Shaymin Lv.X to reattach all the energies with Seed Flare to do big damage as well. But this one is a little bit different. First, let’s take a look at Yanmega. It …

When Platinum Arceus came out, I immediately recognized that Gengar LV.X was good with Gengar PA with Curse. I then tested a deck that contained a Nido Queen and King which both aid Gengar. Nidoqueen is mainly for healing Gengar LV.X and Nidoking is for damaging your opponent’s attackers.
The Strategy
The strategy is to get a Nidoking out, 2 Gengars, 1 with Curse and the other either the SF one or the other PA one, your choice, and finally a Gengar LV.X. This is the main …

Hey guys – this is my first article on sixprizes.com, but I’ve been lurking for around 2 or 3 months now. There is one prominent card in my area – Gengar. I’ve seen all types of Gengar decks… Mother Gengar (Nidoqueen RR/Gengar SF), Metal Gengar (Metagross SV/Gengar SF), and GeChamp (Gengar SF/Machamp SF). Personally, I think the most destructive out of those decks is GeChamp; but I haven’t been able to construct a good deck list, so I went on to create – STRAIGHT GENGAR!
Pokemon …
