What’s up homies?
I can’t believe it’s September already and every is going back to school. The summer sure flew by, but I know I had a lot of fun and I hope you did too! I’m still bummed I missed Worlds, but hopefully I can make it to Hawaii next year and see everyone.
By the way… if anyone is going to be at the US Open in New York tomorrow, gimme a shout! I’m going for my first time. I got grounds passes and I’m pretty excited. I’m a total tennis geek incase you didn’t know.
Anyway, back on subject: Congrats to the top writers of the month in June! Here were the top 5 vote getters:
- a hahn – 40 votes
- Daniel Middleton – 39 votes
- Kenny Wisdom – 37 votes
- Justin Williams – 31 votes
- The Purple Pro – 23 votes
Thank you so much to everyone that wrote an article the last couple months, I really appreciate it!
We had 19 different contributors to the site in August, which is down from 23 in July, so I wanna see some new people step up in September! Writing an article for the site is a great way to help improve your game.
Being in the spotlight kinda forces you to man-up, and I highly recommend doing trying it at some point. Many of the best players out there have written articles for various Pokemon sites during their careers.
Like last month, you’ll be able to vote for your top 5 favorite (favourite) writers. Voting ends on Sunday, September 4th at 11:59 PM EST.
As always, the top 10 vote getters will receive a FREE month subscription to SixPrizes Underground.
If YOU would like to become a contributor to the site (and have a chance to snag one of those free UG memberships), check out the instructions here.

In other news…
1. TcgScans.com Is Mostly Done
Do not consider this an official announcement about the site, but TcgScans.com is pretty functional right now. Go ahead, bookmark it, and play around with it if you have some time to kill. It’s basically meant to be a really quick way to look up cards, and also rate/comment on them.
I’ve been working a lot on trying to make the site load really fast. I still have a few things left to do to try and optimize it a little more, but it’s pretty slick right now.
Other than making the site load faster, I’m working on showing price comparisons between different popular online stores. That’s why I asked for input on Facebook, incase you were wondering.
I don’t really have plans to add advanced sorting features, but please let me know if you do have any input on the site! If anything bothers you or doesn’t work as you’d expect, PLEASE let me know and I’ll try to fix it.
Oh, and I still need to upload more cards. I think nearly everything from HS through EPO should be up though!
2. Free Underground Articles
Liam W. suggested that we open up some old Underground articles for people to view free. Are there any specific articles you guys want to see? I could unlock a couple oldies… take a look here and let me know.
Until next time,
-Adam
