I think the Pokemon TCG was at its maximum fun-ness during the months where it was the newest released set. I liked when most games were about building up your Stage 2 and letting loose on the opponent. Show [...] Continue reading What is your favorite type of Pokemon card? – Poll  I would have to say my favorite set in the Pokemon TCG modified format is Legends Awakened. When Kingdra was released I feel it changed the game by placing a bigger emphasis on speed than there was before. I also am a huge fan of all the pixies that came out in the set; Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie. I prefer a format with as few dominant decks as possible, like Adam. It’s much easier to create a deck meant to beat the format when there’s only a couple decks to defeat. When there’s a bunch of decks out there that can take 1st place on any given day, you can only cover so much with a “silver bullet”. A silver bullet is a deck meant to beat everything.
