Alright! It’s time to vote for Writer of the Month – January 2011!
It should be fun to see how this plays out since we had 17 (!) different contributors last month. The top 3 vote getters will get their picture displayed in the right sidebar, and they will be forever enshrined in the prestigious 6P Hall of Fame.
The top 10 vote getters will all receive a 1 month FREE Underground membership and they’ll be considered Featured Writers for February. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
If you’d like to become a contributor to the site, please read over the instructions here.
You can vote for up to 7 of your favorite writers from last month.
EDIT: We’ll take the top 10 vote getters, and have another poll to decide the top 3 writers in a few days. Thanks Baby Mario for speaking up about the voting issues.
In other news… not a lot to talk about in regards to the site. I’ve decided to scale back a bit and the site is probably going to remain in its current state until I get inspiration to make changes. I might start a new website in the meantime or get a job. Or a haircut. Or move somewhere warm (I’m in desperate need of some sun).
I did revise some of the article submission instruction pages and re-haul the backend a little more. My goal is to make things as simple as possible for anyone submitting articles. WordPress (the software the site is run on) gives like a zillion options by default, and I know it’s probably confusing for someone submitting an article seeing all the different settings.
So what I did was try to hide all the extra stuff that you don’t need to see. You’ll see only the essential options whenever you’re submitting an article, which I hope makes the submission process easier on you.
Also single Underground articles are unavailable indefinitely. I decided it was too time consuming to deal with those, so the only way you get view Underground articles now is to be a member. Sorry if that inconveniences anyone. I just don’t have the time to manage those purchases.
Anyway… get voting!

Bug of the Month
Bug of the Month winner for January 2011 is Joe D. (coolscyther) who was bugged that the Apprentice download link wasn’t working. D’oh!
Thanks for letting me know it was broken Joe. It has since been corrected and Apprentice should be again available for download… which reminds me: if anyone updates the patch to include Call of Legends, let me know and I’ll upload it to the site.

Suggestion of the Month
Suggestion of the Month goes to Philip S. (Electabuzy) who suggested that we have links or pop-up images for all the cards listed in an article.
I think this is an awesome idea, though I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever get to working on anything like this. The basic idea is that all cards mentioned in an article would be linked, and if you hover over the link, an image of the card would appear.
For now, I’m just going to recommend you have BebesSearch.com open in another tab on your browser in case you don’t know what a card does.
Both Joe and Philip get to view any one Underground article of their choosing for their keen ideas.
Last Month
And just to keep tabs… last month’s bug was our lack of Underground Freebies. What I’ve done is eliminate the Freebies, but I’m now keeping an archive of the e-mail newsletter that gets sent out, which contains freebies. You can signup for the the newsletter and check out the archives here.
The suggestion from December was to make a way for newer players to submit decks to get reviewed and turned into articles (like a the Pojo deck garages from yesteryear).
We haven’t done that yet… but if any of the site’s contributors are interested in doing that, then mention you’ll fix decks somewhere in your next article and include your e-mail for anyone who wants to contact you.
