well suprise, suprise! Pokebeach has now confirmed the names of the new split series featuring the new Dragon type pokemon, as well as images of the booster packs and 30 card theme decks featuring Hydreigon and everyones favourite dragon from last season... GARCHOMP!!!!

heres a quote from the site:
"Japan's fifth Black and White set will be released on March 16th and will be split into two sub-sets: Dragon Blade and Dragon Blast. As their names suggest, the Dragon-type will be featured again and Dragon-type Pokemon-EX will appear. Two 30-card decks will also be released alongside the sets featuring Hydreigon and Garchomp. 2012 is the year of the dragon, so it's no wonder Pokemon Card Laboratory is pumping up the Dragon-type!

On April 20th, a new "Beginning Set" will be released containing Pokemon from every region, unlike the previous Beginning Sets which were simply re-releases of the same cards. On the same day, two new Battle Strength Decks will also be released, though their contents are currently unknown. We'll bring you more information in the coming months once we have more specifics"

as you can see from the images a few more pokemon can be seen like Giratina, Rayquaza, Gyarados, Roserade, Manectric and Houndoom

The Garchomp on the first pack looks so much like Garchomp C. Roserade, Houndoom, Mincinno and Manectric seem a little...random, but I'm looking forward to this.

On another note, this set's Garchomp must HATE its family. It has so much to live up to. good grief

    I notice a Giratina in the background...

Why do the deck boxes and boosters say "Dummy" on it?
  10. cabd Yanmega/Mod

Because it's mocked up art, not the final retail release version. Obviously. Hehe.

well some new information has just surfaced, regarding this new set.
first of all the release date! it will be March 16th 2012.
Second of all a new special energy will be released. Pokebeach have made a guess that it would be special dragon energy, regarding the nature of this set, but as we have no images or proof to go by, it could just be another random energy card.
and thirdly, when you buy a booster box from this set, you will get a Promo Ninetails. WHY? it dosn't make any sence. it should be one of the new awesome dragon types that would feature in the set!!! (I wonder if it'll be a brand new Ninetails or a re-print of HS/CoL)

OH and it just clocked over to Christmas DAY!!! so Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Seriously, it is unlikely that Garchomp will be a Garchomp C LV.X replacement. It will be stage 2, and it loses some of it's playability. Also, it may not be good at all. I prefer Hydreigon, which could also go along with Hydreigon NVI due to it's ability, so you don't need extra energy.

We know. Everyone just loves Garchomp!

    Dragonite and Salamence please

    Rayquaza, Salamence, & Haxorus announced.

As expected, they are weak to each other. Their energy costs are multi-type so they are much harder to run. But Haxorus' 2nd attack...my God. Fliptini x Haxorus combo. But 140...meh.
