Hey Adam, I think it'd be a fantastic idea if you were able to expand the card image (i.e. not loading a new tab) after a short hover-over with the mouse inside the articles. Have you put any thought into that, by chance?
Re: Card picure hover-over They should already do that without loading a new tab, unless I'm confused about what you mean. It should look like this when you scroll over a card with your mouse. (It won't capture the cursor, but it looks like a little magnifying glass with a + in it.): If you click on it, it looks like this. Expands, but doesn't create a new tab. (Cursor is a magnifying glass with a - in it, this time.): It's probably a little bit of a pain if it did it just from hovering, since you may rest your cursor over it absently, then it blocks out the article, then you need to wait an impatient few seconds to get back to the article. It's the same reason we usually disable screensavers caused by mouse inactivity. Also, turns out the Vanilluxe in that article is broken, won't expand, but the Vanilllite and others worked fine. Any reason, if Adam sees this?
Re: Card picure hover-over I think he means for phrases such as Catcher or Mew Prime etc. ie. instead of loading to tcgscans in a new tab, just do what it does on the FPAs. Not sure of the nitty gritty, but I doubt it can be done. If anything, linking to tcgscans is a little bit of personal advertising
Re: Card picure hover-over I could make the phrases expand to just show the image (and not open the page in a new tab), but like galladeava said I want to advertise PkmnCards.com. I spent a lot of time putting it together and I want to drive some traffic over there. Hopefully it's not too much of an inconvenience. If we just did the image expand, then the data like rating and prices wouldn't show up. In the future maybe I'll tinker with things, but for now I'd like to keep it as is. @Merrisa: And I'm not sure about the broken Vanilluxe. I'll take a look in a minute.
Oooh haha. That's confusing, I saw "articles" and thought, well, articles. Figured he may have had an out-of-date browser and it wasn't expanding in the foreground like that. I'm fine with seeing pkmncards when i don't know a card. If I need to open multiple ones, I usually ctrl+click since it opens the new tab in the background and I can look at them when I need to.
Yeah, Adam's got the right idea. That totally makes sense, I didn't think about the web traffic when I had suggested it. Thanks anyways, dude.
