Sounds like a great idea… but Viletomb and Machamp would both wreck this deck.

I have tested out some Raticate G/Regice/Dialga PT/Delcatty/Lugia Legend/RayDeo Legend/Sage deck for past month and it have worked out ok for being quite bad rogue deck. Decks main strategy is to discard Lugia Legend line, use Dialga to put it and one energy on top of your deck, then possible two more energy with a Delcatty and then play Legend box to get Lugia Legend wit 1+ Energy in play. After you play it down via Legend Box, use its power to try to get more energy. Usually you can get RayDeo in play end game since Sages or Lugias power has discarded it. Delcatty+Dialga usually ensures getting 3+ Energy to it (2 Fire, 1 Lightning).

I guess the same engine should work on this deck as well. Getting 2+ energy Entei Raikou Legend in play via Legend Box is annoying since if you Thunder Fall yuo’ll lose all of those energies.

      Sounds pretty good :D

*Stupid Question Moment* How do you get the Lugia Legend to the top of your deck ready to Legend Box? Is there something with Raticate G that my memory fails to remind me of?

I love the creativity of this deck, i feel like it would be very fun to play and a great way to annoy your opponent even if you don’t win haha. decks like these keep the game fun and interesting to play.

I actually really enjoyed this article. It’s a serious one with a touch of sarcasm and some jokes, just what I like. The deck is also a good concept, however, you failed to mention the bad things about your deck. ERL and KGL both have terrible weaknesses and your opponent will draw 2 prizes when they knock your Pokemon out, making this deck a lot less viable for competitive play. Nonetheless, it was a well written and interesting article.

I knew there was something I was planning on adding onto the end… I must have had a brainfart!

Yeah there are so many downsides to it:

Dual Weakness (but having Dual Types is pretty useful too)
      Spiritomb (Heavy Trainer Line)
      Vileplume
      Machamp
      Dialga SP
Pokemon that snipe the bench can be a pain too

A girl I versed at a Battle Roads last weekend played this deck, but instead her strategy was focused upon getting Kyogre/Groudon Legend out with Sableye/Smeargle and using Sage’s Training. Then, when it was knocked out, she’d use Dialga PT ‘Reverse Time’ to put it back on top of her deck and use Legend Box or Sage’s Training to recover back onto the field. She also used Entei/Suicune Legend, but I don’t know what she was trying to accomplish with that.

I was playing Sableye/Garchomp, so luckily I had good K0s on Kyogre/Groudon twice to take 4 prizes and seal the deal pretty much. Had I not, she could have definitely won. It was a good deck in my opinion…

I’ve always thought legends would be really fun to play, and that looks like a pretty good list. Entertaining article, too ;)

Lol, when pokemon made these cards they sat down at their big meeting an said: “We really need to make a bunch of cards that look so cool they make people cry, but we can NOT under any condition make these playable… but we still need to make it SEEM like we’re trying…” The legends were the answer. Imposible to get out, impossible to use and highly punishable. Not only do they have TWO weaknesses, but Seriously! Did they have to give away 2 prize cards? The first two didn’t…

But anyway, this is the closest to playable I’ve ever seen a legend deck, and the fact that I also have a soft spot for groudon and kyogre make me like this deck alot. Sadly the only other card we’re getting for legends is the stupid stadium that adds hp… like 20 or 30 I think, not enough to matter. But I like how everything chains together in this deck.

Killing your own Jirachi should still activate Final Wish…

    • Pikey

Starts off by saying “Once during your opponents turn”… :(

Though it would be awesome if you could do it by killing yourself XD

Jesus. I didn’t even read the whole power I just thought I was a smarty pants because it didn’t say “damage from an opponent’s attack.” Carry on…
