Good article. Thanks for bringing Infernape back into the game here.

If you dont want the damage counter from typhlosion prime just use the one from Mt, and add stark mountain.

But this kind of goes against the infernape strategy. The infernape strategy is to get lots of energy in the discard pile so you can do the lv.x's big attack. So you gotta find some way to get around that.

But this is the best use for ninetails yet, to discard fire energies.

  • michaelmasacre

Seems like a nifty enough idea, and I agree with pikkdogs, I think I like ninetails better in this deck then charizard as it add's directly to the level x's attack by dumping energy in the discard. Man I can see alot of potential in this deck if it works out the kinks. I think I would run 2 infernape and 2 of the lvl x as well.

  • MadSci

My very first deck was a Infercatty so i really this idea with ninetales and infernape. Using infernape as too charizard i think is the better choice. good article

I can defiantly see potential in this deck , especially if someone is play Dialga/Garchomp you can OHKO it with three SME on it!

This might actually have some potential, I just wish you do more than 90. 90 is good, but it's not going to OHKO that much. I don't see you being able to pull off Infernape Lv.X's attack too often with only 9 Fire.

Infernape has fairly low HP itself also, which doesn't help.

I think Charizard is probably overall better, but nice idea!

Ugh, I've explained this to multiple people, and now I'll explain it again. The lulziest deck one can create with Infernape follows this basic principle, but uses the PL Infernape instead of MD and DP. The DP Infernape just flat sucks, considering you need 2 Stage 2's to do 90 damage. Then you factor in Infernape SF's ability to flip yet another coin for moar Energy, and you have the flippiest deck that could win States with enough luck.

Man I wish I knew what all these cards did…Infernape PL definitely seems like the way to go. 3 flips a turn would average 120, not too bad!

  • Lamar

I think I would change the list to have more Fire Energies in it. It would increase your chances of using Monkey Lv.X's “Flare Up” attack, which would then put draw power (energies) back into your deck.

  • Professor Poliwag

I think that the Infernape from MT is better, as it does 40x what you discard. You could attach it all on with Typhlosions, then pair it up with Blissey from PL and some other form of healing. You could also use the lvl Xs attack more consistently.

This was actually the first deck I thought of when Ninetails HGSS came out.

Although my deck varied just a little such as no Typhlosion prime and focus on Infernape as main attacker. I used a thick fat 3-3 Ninetails HS line and bumped it up to 11 fire, 4 call energies. The PL infernape is preferably with rage and the likes going on. Anyhow, Ninetails themselves can discard up to 3 fire energies per turn, while Infernape Lv. x can discard up to 2 with it's power. It's really a nice power allowing you to choose a card from your top 3 and into your hand. Added in a couple lookers to prevent decking yourself.

Honestly though, 4 Roseanne's is a must. 3 is nice, but this deck needs the energy in the hand/ and or basics. It might be just me, but I'm never a fan of using BOTH spiritomb and rare candy. It may work in decks such as Gengar and such, but in other stage 2 decks, it becomes a nuisance as maybe 3 BTS becomes a better choice. 2 Night's Maintenance and a Palmer's might be a bit overkill. Maybe dropping down to 1 Night's Maintenance and a Palmers.

Lastly, with Infernape's Low HP, expert belt might just backfire too much. Although I guess it does work with the DP one, it does not work that well with the PL one or the Lv. X.

Hiya, I was reading an additional factor about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective on it’s diametrically contradicted from what I read earlier. I’m still pondering with the opposite items of view, but I’m leaning to a very good extent toward yours. And irrespective, that is what’s so perfect about modern-day democracy as well as the market of ideas online.
