IMO this was good list for being an SP deck. The reason he won with it is that he had mastered certain matchups and had good luck during the whole tournament (as far as I have heard). Quite all of the LuxChomps looks about same, but this list has almost 10 card difference compared to most of the lists. Props to it.

Also, a little off-topic. Other 31 of the top-32 Master decks on Worlds can be found here: http://www.sixprizes.com/forums/showthread.php?1206-Worlds-Top-32-decks

Yeah, it is a lot different than most LuxChomps. I mean, 15 supporters!

I think the heavy supporter line was a counter meassure to trainer locks, he got more draw power with oak, and at the same time made sure he would never be locked in a spiritomb start.

Good article. Clearly the Roseanne’s and Night Maintenance are no longer playable so we have 3 slots open for the MD on format. No one net decks these days of course, so what are the best additions to replace these cards? Clearly the NM can be replaced by another Aarons. The 2 Rosies are another subject. If we replace them with trainers, we lose some consistency possibly. If we replace with Supporters such as Judge, we really potentially damage our own draw power.

Some options not in order of pref.:
    1. +1 bebe’s and + 1 Collector – helps in case if trainer lock and keeps consistency of pokemon, but sacrifice energy consistency.
    2. +2 Interviewers Question – poor mans roseanne’s but not real consistent.
    3. +1 Dialga G, +1 Crobat G – gives more consistent starter possibilities.
    4. +2 energy – could make drawing into energy slightly more likely
    5. +2 Vs seeker – allow you to reuse Cyrus’s consipracy, but also more cards for trainer lock
    6. +2 Energy Exchange – allow you to get special energy, but also adds cards for trainer lock
    7. +2 warp point – could be helpful to level up dialga G
    8. +1 unown Q, +1 warp energy – to add more board control
    9. + 2 Stadiums such as Galactic HQ, gets rid of the dreaded BTS and can be played in trainer lock.
    10. Toxicroak G and Psychic energy – added defense against Machamp SF
    11. Promocroak and Psychic energy – for anti Luxray/Mirror

Anyone think of some others – keep in mind not to change whole system of the deck.

I’d add 1 more energy(probably a lightning) and either another energy of some sort or a Galactic HQ. It’ll help get OHKO on Trainer lock decks as you won’t be able to use PokeTurns.

He played no Luxray counter…. I wonder how mirror matches would go with this list.

Lucario GL is a possible counter with 2 basic Metal in his list, if the defending Luxray GL Lv.X has 2 energies on it, then 1 Flash Bite + Combo Throw can knock it out
