This article made me start to like Machamp. :D

haha that’s a relief! wait for part 3:D its my favorite build of all

Out of the three variants you posted in part I, I thought LockChamp was the most interesting. I’ve been testing (yah, netdecking, fine) it against Gyarados & LuxChomp ever since. It works great! I do find it hard to recover from a KO on Machamp Prime though, mainly from losing the energy on the board–I feel like Fighting Tag is a great way to shuffle the fighting energy around, but if it ends up in the discard, it takes a while to get more out.

    Anyway, thanks for part II!

net decking is not a sin XD as long as you net deck and play it right :) you seem to know what your doing too XD and that’s great. And ya, recovering from a KO is a big problem but it shouldn’t be that hard to keep machamp from dying

Very nice article. It is a pretty unique deck idea that to me both seems fun and efficient. Wp.

      thanks :D

Nice list, well written article, and interesting deck.

Do you have any MU’s for it?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

MU = Match ups? If thats what it is, I was going to test it out but I forgot to build the deck so I just tested my MespritChamp for PArt 3. TAndrewT who commented below said it works good against Gyarados and LuxChomp so im assuming even match ups wit hthe 2 big decks

        Alright, cool thanks.

        Nice article, enjoyed reading it!

good article, it might be worth trying.

The trouble is if you face Dialga, I think its still autoloss.

They will just bench Dialga G Lv.x and Bodies will be gone forever.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

I disagree… if your playing DGX, you can still go for a very fast Machamp SF set up to just plow through whatever the bring up… DGX definitely isn’t auto loss for LockChamp.. it maybe for VileGar

      • Anonymous

well there always is a chance at them getting a terrible start and you getting a great one.

That doesn’t mean the matchup still isn’t autoloss.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

your being ridiculous lol. Im not saying anyhting about the opponent getting a bad or good start. I’m trying to say that just because DGX isn’t an autoloss for LockChamp unlike VileGar. VileGar, you need your opponent to have trainers in their hand for it to do crucial damage. DGX will stop vileplume so they can burn their trainers to reduce VileGar’s damage to almost 0 with the resistance. Let’s see for Lock Champ. Sure they got their DGX by T2 or T3. If you were a bad player, didn’t realize they had DGX (which you should since Dialga G has to be in play), you will set up Vileplume first, hence wasting your first 2~3 turns. If you know DGX is coming out in the next 1~2 turns, set up your Machamp SF first and KO whatever they send up (assuming your playing against DialgaChomp). I’m not saying it’s an easy match up. It is an uphill match up, 60/40 for Dialga Chomp, but it isn’t an autoloss

    This dek sux!!!1!

Na, I’m just kidding. It’s a cool idea and I like the fact that it can use Judge. If I were playing it, though, I’d take out one of the Collectors and replace it with a maxed out Seeker line. The reason for that, though, is the meta I’m used to is full of Gyarados which, while hampered by trainer lock can still play around it and being able to save Machamp that one extra time goes a long way.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

Ya my decklist is designed to fit my meta… hence net decking usually dont work that well unless your playing a deck like LuxChomp lol. My meta… there is maybe 3 gyarados out of 20 masters per cities/BR…. XD so 3 seeker did it’s job

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XVNTS6D43ALI4GW74Q22WXNPZU Red Ados

Thank you for putting that list on line! I bnetdecked it (sheepish) but tweaked a few things and added 5 trainers. But thnx so much! I hadnt realized how viable this was until now!

Random thought: Does this count as rogue?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

Id say.. it’s not really a rogue… lol XD

I’m going to be the smarty-pants here, Umbreom should be Umbreon, haha. Great article, like the idea of Trainer lcoking with Machamp.

let me call it power without potency. The deck will be incredibly strong until (or if) we get a rotation. If we get a rotation, i’d assume HGSS on, then all of the decks that make stage 2 strong will disappear. i.e. Spiritomb, Bebe’s, BTS. It’s just that… Doesn’t seem like Vileplume lock decks will be powerful anymore

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

lemme call it a deck that’s good for now.. rotation isnt happening until september… yes after rotation, depending on whether it will be PL on or HGSS on, it definately won’t be as good as what it is now, but as of now, it’s good…. no need to worry abotu the next format just yet..

        I hope it’s AR – on….NO MORE SP

id wage money on rr-on. sp are still hurt. unless they reprint the entire sp engine in call of legends. if it beocmes rr-on they lose conpiracy, power spray,e-gain,poketurn and crobat g.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Bae/583235222 Peter Bae

it could be another 4 set rotation

      • http://www.facebook.com/reichenberger David Reichenberger

But Arceus still has SP Pokemon, such as the poopy Zapdos G.

      • Anonymous

only three. I think that i’m fine with those three staying in format. Beedrill G, Porygon-Z G and Zapados G. Nothing spectacular there.

this deck is beast! it can do evrything a normal machamp deck does but normally better in the fact of slowing your opponent down in a trainer filled meta.

      Thanks! :D

I thought of this idea when Undaunted came out. This is the most crippling thing SP will ever see.
