may want to add some F nidorans into that list :P. other than that seems like it would be fun to play, and something different from the usual SP

I think it was meant to be Nidoran and not Nidorina… I’ll fix it.

      • Travis

Oh man, how could I have over looked that. I guess it’s supposed to be a 49 card list. I just kinda skipped 2 Nidorinas along the way.

ya i see this deck can do wonders if format is rr-on. but 1 thing. you need to add nidoran F to make it goo. i mean they are BEAST in this deck as they let you get nidoqueens out:)

Dude it took me days and days to make a deck like this for this format, The major problem after playtesting was the Energy count. It takes too long to ko anything, and with the speed of this format, it literally has no chance. Maybe when it’s RR-on it would be a great deck

Funny thing is, there was a Nidoking running around in Masters at a CC I went to, and guess what it wen 3-2 and lost to the T2 who both played Luxchomp

Good article Travis! This deck is no Sea Blaster though…

    • Travis

lol I write one joke article and I become “The Sea Blaster Guy”. I’m actually very experienced in the game XD. I’m going to be writing articles more like this and less like that from now on haha.

Regice could bring up the exploud..

    • Travis

how? You get to choose, and as long as you have no basic up regi-move wont even work.

I’ve always wondered how to build this deck. Now I know how. Thanks Travis!!! :)

Great article! I forgot that you can use Regirock in Nidoking a lot like Donphan/ERL did last format. It was great to read about a deck that hasn’t really had it’s glory yet. Just one thing, you didn’t really talk about how Dialga G is even more of a silver bullet than Gyarados is, being able to shut you off completely and take away your Energy. Still a great article written by a great player (I don’t think it’s on the same level as Staryu, though)

    • Travis

XD forgot about that one. Yea Dialga would be a pretty big deal. To be honest, with the sheer speed of SP decks, Nidoking would have to get a seriously great starting hand to even be able to keep up with the Garchomps lol. In general, this deck has a lot of nasty matchups, but it’s shocking how well it performs sometimes. And thanks.

    yay, no nidorinas!

also, with most gyarados lists around here having luxray, you’re gonna need something like mesprit

80+20+(you forgot about poison) = 110. No need to bring any more stage 2′s onto the field. More space for switch/warp point eh? Nice article.
