How to use this contraption

Step 1 – Choose a Nickname

  1. Type a nickname in the box where it says “Choose a nickname” and click “Connect”.

    1. Alternatively, once logged into the chat, type /nick NICKNAME, where NICKNAME = your desired nickname.

  2. To register your nickname so that no one can also select it and possibly impersonate you, type in /nickserv register PASSWORD E-MAIL, where PASSWORD = a made up password and E-MAIL = your e-mail address.

    1. You must have already chosen your nickname before you can complete this step.

  3. If you leave the chat room and later want to “log in” with your registered nickname, first change your nickname to your registered nickname (see step 1) and then type in /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password, where password = your made up password (from step 2).

Step 2 – THE RULES

  1. Just be cool… don’t say anything you wouldn’t say to your grandmother.

Step 3 – Joining from Other Chat Agents
