One of the most played Pokemon cards at the moment is Azelf from Legends Awakened. Its Poke-Power “Time Walk” is often taken for granted, but it seriously is one of the best Powers in the game.
Being able to rescue a Magikarp or your Luxray Lv.X from your prizes is huge. In the past, you would have to hope to pick the right prize when you got a knock out. There was much more luck involved, so you would be forced to play …

Hi everyone. This is my first time to ever write an article, and I hope it’s helpful, especially for all you SP-haters out there. My son Nicholas and I have been playing Pokemon for about 2 years, and my son also won the Northeast Regionals last year in the Juniors Division.
Instead of analyzing the pros/cons of specific Pokemon, I would like to instead focus on the best way to get your Stage 2 Pokemon in play and evolved so that you …

Hey guys, reporting here again is Woodstock with a new informational article.
SP CARDS
SPs are amazing cards. They have several pros and limited cons in my opinion, and are so easy to work with which makes variety with them so easy. There are countless Lv.X cards with free retreat and minimal energy requirements, even with supporting cards like Energy Gain and Poke Turn to help them out. Some examples are Luxray GL Lv.X, Infernape 4 Lv.X, Blaziken FB Lv.X, and so on.
I’ve noticed since the release …

So, you’ve made it past the first couple turns. You’ve got your starter out, and you’re going for your main attacking Pokemon. This is the point where it hits you that that starter isn’t going to last forever, and that you need some way to keep setting up while actually damaging your opponent.
As far as support goes, there are a few options in the current modified format. Not all of them are widely thought of, but they can all work under different circumstances. Some of …

Greetings to everyone! This is my first article submission for SixPrizes.com, I hope you enjoy it!
In real life, it’s important to make a good first impression with people you meet. Well, that same idea applies to Pokemon, and today I’m going to talk about Starters in the Pokemon TCG and how they can affect your game.
In researching the Modified format for cards that I thought would make good Starters, I found a surprising amount of interesting cards I hadn’t noticed before, or had written off …

Shuppet Donk players have a little to be excited about with the release of HeartGold & SoulSilver. Their favorite puppet Pokemon gets a BFF to help expose colorless weaknesses. The new ally is Dunsparce from HGSS, which has a “Fade Out” attack of its own.
The downside to Dunsparce is that it deals 10 less damage than Shuppet’s version of the attack. This might be a problem if you find yourself starting with Dunsparce and you end up being just 10 damage short of a “donk.” …

Hi everyone, my name is Tim, known as Silverwarrior on most sites. This will be my first article with 6P. I started playing Pokemon TCG back in September of 2009 as a hobby and soon became addicted. I’ve since signed up for several sites to participate in deck building and general tips and tricks but I always find myself checking 6p.com for new article updates.
To cut straight to the chase, since my start with Pokemon TCG I’ve seen a lot of decks with the concept …
