Sunflora is cool. I mean look at it. If anyone says that Sunflora is not cool there obviously liars. Anyway, I’m not going to do COTD the way most people do it, and I’m also not going to write a poem (sorry Genguy). So what am I going to do? Well, I’m going to analyze each aspect of the card and give each part of it a score, then I’ll give the card as a whole a total score out of. Sound good? Lets go!
HP, type and bottom stats:
Well, being grass type is a mixed blessing: You get support from Landmin and ummm… Sunflora, but almost nothing is weak to you and you’re usually weak to fire. Eighty HP is ten bellow average for a stage one and it also makes Sunflora susceptible to be Dragon Rushed by Garchomp C LV.X. And lastly, Sunflora’s bottom stats are ok, but really nothing too special.
5/10
Poke-Bodies, Powers and attacks:
Sunflora’s Poke-Power “Sunshine Grace” is the reason that Sunflora may deserve a spot in your deck, as it basically says that once per turn you may search your deck for a Grass Pokemon and put it in your hand. Now obviously with a attack like Blade Arms (3 for 40, Ugh). Sunflora should only be placed in grass decks, but with a Power as good as that, it should have a spot in almost every grass deck (apart from Scizor/Cherrim).
7/10
Versatility:
Well Sunflora can be used in pretty much every grass deck not named Scizor/Cherrim so yea, pretty good apart from the fact that there aren’t many popular grass decks in the format right now.
6/10
Overall:
Sunflora has a somewhat limited range of decks it can be used in, but its really great at what it does.
7/10
So, thats my first COTD! Please comment and say if you like the “breaking a card down” style of COTD or if you just like the normal ones. But anyway, if you have any questions, comments, or death threats e-mail me at sibonsam@gmail.com
