Forretress Energy Spam FTW. Shuckle wouldn’t be the best draw engine with Emboar decks, since Emboar is fire type and Ninetales can get better use out of Fire Energy.

But you have to evolve Ninetales, and not Shuckle. So while I’d have to tech in multiple cards to get a Vulpix and a Ninetales, all I need for Shuckle is… Shuckle.

Two things. One, be careful about hyping it with Forretress LA, because we had something like that with blastoise EX, but it was errita’d to count as only one “bulk” energy attachment.

Secondly, seeker is a much better option than an unown “return” HS, because in this format, we have so many snipe options available, between crobat G, Garchomp C, Blastoise HS, Yanmega TM, etc, etc. Not to mention spread will also hurt majorly. And of course, it’s just askign to get luring flame’d active, or bright looked, or sleep inducered, etc, etc. And one catcher is released, it’ll be an even larger liability.

I personally don’t think Forretress LA is a good partner with it, but people mentioned it so I figured I’d throw it in. I also don’t think Seeker is a great way to pick up the energy, because you couldn’t do it more than once in one turn.

Quick question about Foretress LA if u have manetric PL on ur bench does his poke body/power do damage to your benched pokemon still?

    • Anonymous

No because it prevents all damage from attacks. Both your’s and your oppenent’s. But Manectric will not be protected unless youi have a Bench Shield on it.

      • Anonymous

No. Manectric offers no protection against Forretress, for two reasons:

        1. Manectric only protects against attacks, and thus has no effect on Forretress’ body.
        2. Manectric only prevents damage, but Forretress places damage counters.

use magmortar TR, load shuckle with 10-15 fire energy then shaymin UL/lucians/scoop up/seeker/unown return to get the energy on magmortar and top burn 10-15 cards which is a major disrupt just by itself eating up valuable resources, but the win condition is exeggutor LA which for no energy forces your opponents to shuffle their hand into their tiny deck and draw a massive amount as your hand is filled up by shuckled, seeing as how its your attack they go to draw a card at their turn and lose before being able to play any of the cards they drew…. tomb AR as a starter to evolve into emboar and slow them down… you dont take any prizes so twins is almost always usable… i tested it, and can eat the 1st set of 10-15 on turn 2/3 depending on seting up, no uxie needed either which is a plus as most people have all theres in other decks
