Commenting Etiquette

Be cool. That's all we ask. The writers and editors put a lot of time into bringing you these articles, so show some respect. It's ok to be critical, but please be civil about it. Don't embarrass yourself in front of everyone by making juvenile remarks because you may regret it later. If you have issue with someone, "Get a room." I’ve looked at him before and I have only taken an interest to the Weavile with warps and cyclone energy.

Infernape 4 Lv.X is a nice option for this deck but I should look into Nidoking. :F

Infernape makes this deck SHINE. You are annihilating their bench for 120 almost every turn. Dusknoir DP to Dark Palm their powerful active if their bench is full enough after you’ve intimitating roared them. If you can run 4 Poke Healers, this thing becomes a massive tank that can take on most decks.
I am playing this deck in my next BR!

    • Woodstock

I’m not sure, Infernape 4 is good for the constant switching, but to really make this deck shine you should run a 2-2 Luxray GL. Once you get past the easy targets (Claydol, Uxie, Azelf) your opponent will start switching with a back-up benched Pokemon, and at that point you really don’t want to get stuck not OHKOing, or you’ll get massive damage back at you.

      • http://www.adamcapriola.com/ Adam Capriola

Yeah I agree with that, eventually you are going to need to deal with their main attacker. That’s why I think Nidoking could be a decent option.

I’ve never really considered Garchomp… The Infernape 4 Lv.X combo sounds cool. 1-2 Dusknoirs, 3 Warp Points, 2 Infernape 4 Lv.X, and possibly a set of Poke Healers and you’re ready to go! With Double Colorless Energy coming in HGSS, this can hit for 100 damage on T2.

The only problem with it is that its like any other stage 2 deck, it can be hugely inconsistent :(

I’ve had my eye on garchomp for a while now, and I really want to try him out. The combos with restore on the lvX are great, and the pokebody, along with the impressive HP, make for a solid Pokemon.

Sure, it might take a little while to get pumped with energy, but 120 damage is nothing to scoff at, especially if you set up some kind of healing.

I like the colorless weakness of this guy, and it’s pokebody is a decent annoyance that hurts the opponent’s energy drops. I’d consider just running 4 Cyclones and 4 Warps, trying to get easy KO’s like Gyarados. The options for Restore via the Level X are almost endless, and might determine how well the list does vs. different matchups.

Ambipom G with an Unown Q attached or Champion’s Room stadium in play (for free retreat) might make a good partner. His “Tail Code” attack lets you switch an Energy from one opposing Pokemon to another. It would definitely need some testing to see if it actually helps.

    • WDIF

If you move 1 energy every turn, and your opponent can play 1 energy every turn, then you are getting nowhere. Which isn’t a bad thing if they can’t attack and you have them in a lock. There are very few main attacksers in this format that need at least two energy to attack and have at least two to retreat. If it was a power or you move more than 1 energy I could see him being useable.

I think the card has serious potential with the possibility of hitting an opposing poke’mon for 120 for 3 energy. Thats excellent damage to cost ratio!!! If you wanna push for even more damage, just use Plus Power or Buck’s Training.

I thought this card could be decent at one point in time, and low and behold, it can!

Though I have yet to have seen an actual hard copy of this card, I hope I can get my hands on some to play for my next BR

I”m not sold on this card, seems messy. Infernape lv.x is pretty legit in it but I’d play gyrados over this any day.

This is the best card from Supreme Victors in my opinion. It is so good, and there are a lot of things you can play with it to really make this deck amazing.

I agree with Keelan, this deck has major potential and will have quite a nice shine to it come the release of HG/SS and Double Colorless Energy.

I play it right now, and I have to say it is a lot of fun to play with. Weavile Varient is definitely the best way to play it. I love adding damage and “Dark Engaging” Queen with a Special Dark is soooooooo good!! Garchomp is a lot of fun to paly with.

Garchomp is a card I have been looking at a lot this past week. And I’m going to say, yes this card is beast. Warp Points, Cyclone Energies, Palkia Lv X/Switch, Luxray GL X, and other things (Dusk DP…yada yada) give this deck decent tech ideas. It’s fun and has a good level x to power up.

What I need to know is why I should care? I mean, not to express that what youve got to say isnt critical, but I mean, its so generic. Everyones discussing this man. Give us some thing much more, something that we can get behind so we can feel as passionately about this as you do.

You are not the standard blog writer, man. You surely have some thing strong to add to the web. Your design is so powerful that you could virtually get away with being a poor writer, but you’re even wonderful at expressing what you’ve got to say. Such a excellent weblog. I’ll return for more.
