Hello 6p, I am finally back with an article for everyone, and I hope to post more in the following weeks as the OP 2009 – 2010 season continues it’s way into more exciting tournaments. School and other activities have kept me away from 6p and the Pokemon scene in general. I had not playtested anything since some online Apprentice tournaments back in October and none of them had included AR cards. I pretty much only knew about Expert Belt, Spiritomb AR and Gengar Lv.X …

Hello guys! I’ve been busy this past couple of weeks and hence why the usual volume of content has been low. I definately want to make up for that, and I am eager to get cranking on typing out all the crazy ideas I have involving the next set, and hence why I want to request to our fellow readers who got some of the new cards from the prereleases to scan some for me so my articles can look more professional ;).
Here’s a …

Grass type Pokemon have always been utility based. They always cause lots of Special Conditions but when it comes to getting clear KO’s, very few cards stand out aside from the current Beedrill GE + Beedrill RR combination. Supreme Victors though seems to have changed that, and has made available a new combo that can prove deadly when it gets set up and running.
Yanmega SV’s “Wind Return” combines perfectly with Shaymin Lv.X’s “Seed Flare” as you can keep recycling Grass energies back and forth by …

Many of you probably remember myself reporting such a deck winning the first Autumn Battle Road in Mexico with an undefeated record. Now I was never able to get the winning list, but I also have a few ideas of my own on how to improve it, which I will share with you guys right now.
First off is the concept of taking easy prizes. This has become a popular game-winning strategy, as cards such as Luxray GL Lv.X RR, Garchomp C Lv.X SV or the …

Gengar is either loved or hated. The cards existence alone modifies the way decks are built, and when facing a deck containing this Pokemon card, you modify your strategy in order to avoid the deadly (pun intended) “Fainting Spell”.
This is a deck I’ve been working on for a few weeks, ever since I came across the idea of combining Metagross SV and Gengar SF. “Gravitation” is a very unique Poke-Body, which pretty much acts as +20 damage for every single attack, both for yourself …

Hello guys! I was only able to make it to one Battle Road on the first week, mainly due to conflicting schedules with my soccer games but oh well; at least I got some games in. I decided to use Flygon Lock for this tournament, mainly because I had used it a lot before Worlds, but I hadn’t used it at a real tournament before. I knew time would be an issue eventually, so I tried playing as fast as I could, but I can’t …

When building a deck, everyone has their own personal preferences and style. Some like full consistency, others like to play more ‘greater risk, greater reward’ cards, but in general we all find that you sometimes just need to add Pokemon cards to your deck that will get you other cards as well that you can’t directly search for. We primarily go to supporting lines such as Claydol GE and Uxie LA that help out with their Poke-Powers, and prefer to dedicate our Supporters to direct …

Probably one of the most overlooked and underrated cards is also one of the oldest Pokemon cards available: Poke Ball. Now I’m sure everyone is having negative thoughts on the card and how much you ‘hate flipping coins’, but if you can take a few minutes to read through this article, you might figure out something new you hadn’t considered before about this card.
First consider what this card can accomplish: fetch you ANY Pokemon card you need, with a 50% chance of success.
To really make …

Everyone involved in Pokemon TCG online communities and competitive aspect of the game, has heard of Steven Silvestro’s 1st place at the Pokemon TCG 2009 World Championships with a Beedrill / Luxray GL deck. Not as popular though, is Takuto Itagaki’s performance, as he also is a Pokemon TCG World Champion from the Senior Division. He and his father were kind enough to allow me to write up an article about his winning deck, which I personally find very intriguing as it was just the …
