Tyranitar Prime Deck

I would like some ideas about what to change or keep in this deck. I play tested it a couple of times and my opponent didn’t get a single Prize card each time.

Pokémon:
3-2-3 Tyranitar Prime
2-2 Claydol GE
2 Sableye SF
1-1 Manectric PL
1-0-1 Exploud SV
2 Uxie LA
Trainers:
4 Rare Candy
3 Pokémon Communication
2 Expert Belt
4 Bebe Search
2 Professor Oaks New Theory
1 Pokémon Collector
3 Roseanne’s Research
1 Bench Shield
1 Palmers Contribution
2 BTS
1 Luxury Ball
1 Moonlight Stadium
1 Night Maintenance
2 Judge
Energy:
5 Basic D
4 Special Dark
3 Double Colorless

Strategy

Get Claydol, Manectric, Exploud, and Tyranitar out as fast as you can. Exploud gets rid of weakness to all of your pokemon so when you go against Donphan, T-tar will not be weak to it. Manectric is for when you go up against Luxchomp, but you also want Bench Shield attached to it because then your opponent can only attack your active Pokémon. Claydol and Uxie are for setting up. The trainers are the big part because they help you set up faster.

what, no memory berry? Pulling out a rage attack from pupitar on a 160 HP best like TTar (with access to sp. darks) is too good to pass up man.

Also, why only 2 sableye? Unless you don't want to start with it, in which case you don't need it at all. I would up it to at least 3, 4 would be best.

Also, I don't think you'd get that bench shield when you need it before garchomp C has a chance to snipe your manectric.

I really love this list. It beats a lot of stuff fairly easily. However, you should go a lot more in depth on the strategy. Maybe you could talk about each of your interesting techs and how they help you beat different decks. Just think about that for your next article.

the article is very short and doesnt tell the readers so much but the list is nice i think, u thought about tghe weakness what is good, but i think the sableys are only good starters and two are not enough.during the game, 60 hp is too bad.

i reccomend darkrai lvl x and the weavile that has the charge attack that allows u to search ur deck for 2 any dark eneergies and attach them

the only reason id use manectric is if you plan to use darkness howl. otherwise, you should use bastiodon mt.

I think the list is pretty solid. Definitely it looks good, but I think the strategy could be explained a bit more, even though you explained a good amount of it.

As for what you can do, consider running 2 Moonlights in case one of them gets discarded by something like Flygon or Steelix. If you are using Sableye SF as a starter, I would run 3-4 of them, not just 2. You can also consider at least 1-2 Memory Berries in case you choose to use the Pupitar UL's attack Rage. Rage from Pupitar UL can help T-tar because T-tar has 160 HP, and along with special darks and lots of damage counters, you can be hitting for a ton of damage. Consider these changes and the deck will become even better in no time.

Nice list man. I think the bench shield is a great idea, but near impossible to pull off, and easy to get around with warp point, pokemon reversal, Luxray, and Blaziken. Also, the complete bench shield idea leads me to believe you want to spread. I think spread decks will make a comeback after the NEXT (not the up coming) rotation when Platinum rotates out with the SP engine, virtually shutting down Garchomp with no poketurns. As long as luxchomp is one of THE dominant decks, spread won't happen. But, if the entire bench shield did work, we would just see an increase Driflim FB, which can hit the bench through pokebodies and resistance, and counts weakness. With Uxie being the new biggest draw power, that's a cheap KO everytime, probably quite a few.

I'm sorry but that means you weren't testing against tier 1 deck with good players. There is no deck that can beat everything without loosing single prize card. There is no lock and deck is not superb fast. IMHO 2 sableye are not enough – you have to run 4.

I don't think that 1 Bench Shield is going to work out, you have no way to pluck it from your deck. Either play more or take it out.

Your Donphan counter (Exploud SV), with only 3 cards used (plus the rare candy) is the most effective Donphan counter, no doubt. If you lean on Spiritomb as starter (3) you don't need BTS. At tournaments you'll see a lot of SP decks and they “hate” Spiritomb starters. Unless they have cyclone energies, they need to draw into their energies. Donk decks will lose to Spiritomb starters. I like at least (1) Sableye for the donk KO when it's all you need. Plus running 3 E. belts plus 4 special darks give you a donk opportunity every start.

if you run 1 “department store girl”, you can get three tools out of your deck, i've tried it in my luxchomp, so that i can cyrus for stuff other that e-gain

I agree that's a good strategy, but this deck doesn't have Cyrus to grab
    that 1 Dept. Store Girl.
